The logistics and industrial real estate sector has a big impact on the environment. At the same time, it also has the big opportunity to actively implement environmentally friendly solutions.
We see a continuous boom on the logistics real estate market and substantial investment inflows, but how is the money used? Do we continue to build mainly “quick & dirty” for the fastest possible ROI today, or do we see a shift to think long term in life cycle costs, Cradle-to-Cradle approach and reduce the carbon footprint?
Are sustainability certificates like BREEAM mainly used for green washing at marketing level, or is there a proven track record of positive impact? How to combine economic and ecological goals? What has to be done by the private sector and where is still strong support needed by the public sector?
In our
panel we want to join forces on the way to sustainability and carbon
neutrality, there is no Planet B!
