Director Channel Strategy

Robert joint AFKL Cargo since end 2018 after a 12 year career at the AFKL passenger division. As part of the Distribution & customer service department, Robert is responsible for the Channel Strategy. With his team Robert is optimization the way AFKL distributes their product and service portfolio via owned and non-owned distribution channels in order to serve the customer in the distribution channel of preference.

At the same time his team creates the direct customer and third party portal connectivity via the AFKL sales API. Since 2 years, Robert’s team is heavily contributes to the IATA “Modernizing Cargo Distribution” initiative to create an API standard for the AirCargo industry.

After graduating the Hotel Management School and a Business Administration Master degree at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Robert joined KLM in 2007, where he took up multiple roles within revenue management, sales and digital. He also spend 4 year at the head office of AirFrance in Paris.
