DB Cargo Automotive and Stellantis have announced the realignment of their European vehicle logistics network, focusing on high-volume transport corridors and high-frequency shuttle services. The new approach is designed to improve speed, planning reliability, and supply chain resilience while supporting the growing demand for automotive logistics across Europe.
The partnership builds on several years of close collaboration, during which DB Cargo responded to industry-wide capacity shortages by providing flexible transport solutions across key European routes. By consolidating traffic onto strategic corridors, both companies aim to create a more stable and efficient rail logistics network with faster response times and improved operational performance.
According to DB Cargo, the redesigned network has been built with future growth in mind. Concentrating transport flows on core corridors will allow increasing vehicle volumes to be handled more efficiently while maintaining flexibility as market demand evolves. The initiative also reinforces the role of rail freight in delivering more sustainable and resilient automotive supply chains across Europe.
