On 5 March 2026, Scan Global Logistics launched its second electric cross-border truck in Malaysia in partnership with Danfoss Climate Solutions, marking an important milestone in their collaboration on low-emission transport between Malaysia and Singapore.

The new electric truck is part of a multi-year partnership with Danfoss and is dedicated to supporting the company’s efforts to reduce Scope 3 emissions in line with its LEAP 2030 sustainability targets. At the same time, it increases low-carbon transport capacity for daily cross-border operations. Grace You, Regional Category Manager at Danfoss Global Freight Procurement, emphasized that the initiative reflects a strong commitment to sustainable operations while contributing to a cleaner and more resilient future.

This latest launch builds on the introduction of the first electric cross-border trucking solution between Malaysia and Singapore in July 2024. By expanding this foundation, the two companies are developing a dedicated setup that combines lower emissions with reliable and efficient logistics performance.

The new 17-foot electric box truck is part of Scan Global Logistics’ low-carbon Con-X solution in Asia and can carry up to 5.5 tonnes of cargo. Together with another truck in the same setup, the solution is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 93.6 tonnes per year. In addition to producing zero tailpipe emissions, the operation is supported by a dedicated operations centre, specialist teams, transport management systems, telematics, and CO₂ calculation tools, providing customers with better visibility, reporting, and control over their supply chains.

Rickard Ingvarsson, CEO Asia Pacific at Scan Global Logistics, highlighted that sustainability is a shared responsibility, stating that collaboration with customers helps turn ideas into practical, cost-efficient, and CO₂-neutral logistics solutions.

During the launch event, Danfoss Climate Solutions presented Scan Global Logistics with a recognition award for its contribution to sustainability efforts. Martin Andersen, Global Head of Sustainability & ESG at the company, noted that proactive collaboration is key to driving meaningful change and that implementing electric trucking on one of Asia’s busiest freight routes demonstrates real, measurable impact.

With four electric trucks now operating across China and Malaysia, Scan Global Logistics continues to expand practical low-carbon logistics solutions, helping customers reduce emissions in real-world supply chains and supporting the transition toward more sustainable transport.
