FedEx has expanded its intra-Asia network with a new dedicated non-stop freighter service connecting its Asia-Pacific hub in Guangzhou, China, with Sydney, Australia.

The route operates five times per week using Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, increasing air cargo capacity and strengthening trade connectivity between Asia and the Australian market.

The new service is expected to reduce transit times for selected shipments by up to one day. Goods originating from southern mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines can now reach Australia in as little as two business days.

The Guangzhou hub will also consolidate cargo arriving from Europe, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent before its onward transportation to Australia. The additional capacity will support heavy, high-value and time-sensitive shipments while providing businesses with greater flexibility and reliability.

FedEx introduced the route in response to growing trade between Asia and Australia and increasing demand for faster and more resilient regional supply chains.
