Qatar Airways Cargo has announced the resumption of its cargo and passenger operations to the United Arab Emirates, marking an important step in the recovery and expansion of its global network. The updated schedule reflects the gradual increase in flight activity to and from Doha, as the airline continues to restore capacity following recent disruptions.
The carrier has restarted freighter and belly hold operations, including twice weekly freighter services to Dubai World Central from 26 April and three weekly flights to Sharjah from 1 May. In parallel, daily passenger flights to Dubai and Sharjah have also resumed, strengthening regional connectivity and supporting the flow of cargo between key Middle Eastern hubs.
This development forms part of a broader network recovery strategy. By early May, Qatar Airways Cargo is expanding its freighter network to more than 50 destinations, while its passenger and belly hold network continues to grow toward over 150 destinations. This expansion highlights the airline’s commitment to rebuilding global supply chain connectivity and supporting international trade flows.
In addition to restoring capacity, the airline has lifted the embargo on its highest priority VIC Q Prime Urgent Critical Cargo product. This allows urgent shipments to receive priority access on capacity constrained flights, supported by continuous monitoring through Qatar Airways Cargo’s Control Tower.
The airline is also maintaining a strong focus on specialized cargo solutions. Products such as QRLIV enable the transport of shipments requiring special handling, while LHO supports the movement of human organs and blood. These offerings underline the carrier’s capabilities in handling sensitive and time critical cargo.
At the same time, customers continue to have access to the full range of Qatar Airways Cargo services through standard booking channels, including the Digital Lounge platform and local sales teams. This ensures flexibility and continuity for a wide range of shipment requirements.
The resumption of operations to the United Arab Emirates reflects a broader return to stability across the airline’s network. As global logistics continues to adapt to changing conditions, Qatar Airways Cargo is strengthening its position through increased connectivity, specialized services, and ongoing investment in digitalization.
