Qatar Airways Cargo Strengthens TechLift with Specialised VRR Containers

Qatar Airways Cargo has expanded its TechLift service by adding specialised RGX and RZY containers from Van Riemsdijk Rotterdam (VRR), further strengthening its capabilities in transporting high-value and sensitive semiconductor equipment.
The 16-foot RZY and 20-foot RGX containers are purpose-built for the secure transportation of semiconductor fabrication machinery and other advanced capital equipment. Both models feature climate-control systems and enhanced shock-absorption technology, protecting sensitive cargo against temperature changes, vibration and impact throughout its journey.
The containers are also fully certified for transportation on the main decks of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Boeing 777 freighters, providing additional specialised capacity for the semiconductor industry’s complex logistics requirements.
The expansion further enhances TechLift, Qatar Airways Cargo’s dedicated logistics solution for the technology and semiconductor sectors. The service provides specialised handling, increased loading priority and additional protection for critical equipment and components.
By working with specialised industry partners such as VRR, Qatar Airways Cargo aims to ensure that essential semiconductor technologies are transported safely, efficiently and on time while supporting the reliability and resilience of the global semiconductor supply chain.
