Peter Somaglia began his career in 1968 with the former airline Swissair, holding various management positions in Switzerland and abroad over more than three decades. He later served as CEO of Swisscargo AG and, after the collapse of Swissair, worked as an independent management consultant before becoming CEO of Cargologic AG in Zurich in 2004. In 2015, he was a co-founder of CarbonCare, a Swiss initiative focused on measuring and reducing CO₂ emissions in logistics and transportation..
CarbonCare is a Swiss sustainability technology company that helps freight forwarders and logistics providers accurately calculate and report CO₂ emissions across air, sea, road, and rail transport.
