Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have completed a major milestone in the integration of their cargo businesses by consolidating operations onto a single digital cargo management platform. The move follows Alaska Air Group's acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines and is aimed at creating a more efficient and seamless cargo network across the combined airline system.

The integration was achieved through the migration of Hawaiian Air Cargo onto IBS Software's iCargo platform, which Alaska Cargo has been using since 2022. As a result, both airlines now operate within a unified digital environment that standardizes cargo policies, billing processes, shipment tracking and warehouse operations across the network.

For customers, the transition delivers a single portal for booking, shipping and tracking freight across the combined Alaska and Hawaiian cargo network. The unified system also provides real time shipment visibility, allowing shippers and logistics providers to monitor cargo movements more effectively while improving service reliability and operational transparency.

According to Alaska Cargo, the consolidation simplifies export, import and warehouse workflows while reducing the operational complexity associated with managing multiple cargo systems. Employees across both airlines now work from a shared data platform, enabling faster decision making and improved coordination during disruptions.

One of the most significant customer benefits arising from the integration is the expansion of Alaska Cargo's GoldStreak Package Express service to the Hawaiian Islands for the first time. The next flight out service is designed for urgent shipments, including medical supplies, critical spare parts and legal documents that require rapid transportation.

The cargo integration represents one of the first major operational milestones completed since Alaska Air Group acquired Hawaiian Airlines in 2024. By combining their complementary cargo networks, the airlines are creating a larger logistics platform that connects North America, Hawaii, Asia and the Pacific region while providing customers with improved network reach and service consistency.

The project also reflects a broader trend across the air cargo industry, where airlines are investing in digitalization and system consolidation to improve efficiency, increase visibility and support future growth. As cargo demand continues to evolve, unified digital platforms are becoming a critical tool for enhancing customer experience and streamlining logistics operations.
