DHL Freight has launched an optimized Road Freight Product Portfolio aimed at simplifying service selection and improving operational consistency across its European network.
The updated portfolio introduces a clearly structured offering built around three core products: DHL Road Freight Standard, DHL Road Freight Priority, and DHL Road Freight Direct. The new framework is designed to provide customers with greater transparency, clearer differentiation, and a more streamlined decision-making process when selecting transport solutions.
According to CEO Markus Voss, the initiative responds to growing customer demand for clarity and efficiency in logistics services. He emphasized that the new structure enables faster and more confident decisions while strengthening premium offerings through defined service commitments and guarantees for time-critical shipments.
The revised portfolio is organized based on shipment type and delivery requirements. DHL Road Freight Standard serves as the default option for less-than-truckload shipments, covering the majority of everyday transport needs with reliable and cost-efficient door-to-door services. DHL Road Freight Priority is positioned as a premium solution for time-sensitive international shipments, offering prioritized handling, enhanced delivery options, and defined transit time commitments, including a money-back guarantee in selected cases. DHL Road Freight Direct focuses on tailored partial- and full-truckload solutions, providing dedicated point-to-point transport across Europe.
The optimization aims to improve transparency and comparability across services while maintaining existing contractual agreements and operational processes for current customers. The standardized structure also creates a consistent foundation for additional services such as cargo insurance, customs solutions, and sustainability options like GoGreen Plus.
Overall, the redesigned portfolio represents a strategic move by DHL Freight to enhance its value proposition, strengthen service reliability, and provide a scalable framework for European road freight operations, aligning transport solutions more closely with customer needs and business priorities.
