TIACA Welcomes New Leadership Team to Drive the Next Era of Air Cargo Growth

A new chapter begins for The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) as Roos Bakker officially assumes the role of Chair, succeeding Steven Polmans, during the Air Cargo Forum 2025 in Abu Dhabi. This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for the organization, reinforcing its mission to promote innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the global air cargo industry.
Roos Bakker, Manager of Business Development & Contract Management at ICTS Europe, brings extensive experience in aviation business development, operations management, and process optimization. Known for her collaborative and forward-looking mindset, Roos is poised to lead TIACA into a new phase of strategic progress and sustainability-focused initiatives within the air cargo community.
Joining her at the helm are the newly appointed Co-Vice Chairs:
Emir Pineda, Director of Marketing and Air Service Development at Miami-Dade Aviation Department, a respected industry leader with over three decades of expertise in global air service development and trade facilitation.
Tushar Jani, Chairman of Cargo Service Center India Private Limited and SCA Group of Companies, a pioneering entrepreneur recognized for his contributions to India’s logistics and aviation sectors.
Outgoing Chair Steven Polmans reflected on his six years of leadership with gratitude, emphasizing the spirit of collaboration and transformation that defined his tenure. TIACA’s Director General, Glyn H., commended Steven’s impactful guidance and expressed full confidence in the new leadership team’s ability to further strengthen the association’s global influence.
