UPS has officially opened its new logistics hub at Clark International Airport in the Philippines, marking a major milestone in strengthening global supply chains and improving services across more than 1,100 international trade lanes.

The investment, exceeding $80 million, significantly expands UPS's operational capacity in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting faster deliveries and stronger connections between Asia, Europe, India, and the United States.

Major Expansion of Logistics Capabilities

Covering approximately 30,000 square meters, the new facility is 15 times larger than its predecessor and can handle an average of 46,000 packages daily, with a maximum processing capacity of 15,000 packages per hour.

UPS now operates 170 weekly flight segments to and from Clark, enabling next-business-day delivery on selected international routes.

The expansion also brings significant service improvements:

  • Up to two days faster deliveries between eastern China and other Asia-Pacific markets.

  • Improved transit times between Southeast Asia and India.

  • Extended shipment pickup deadlines and earlier delivery times across selected markets.

  • Nearly 600 new jobs created in the Philippines.

Advanced Technology and Healthcare Logistics

The new sustainability-certified facility incorporates automated sorting technology capable of processing up to 9,000 small packages per hour, alongside electric ground-handling equipment.

Specialized temperature-controlled infrastructure, operating between -20°C and +25°C, supports sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments. UPS Premier RFID technology further enhances shipment visibility and priority handling.

Strengthening Asia-Pacific Supply Chains

The opening forms part of UPS's broader investment strategy to develop a faster, more resilient logistics network across Asia-Pacific.

Following recent expansions in Taiwan and South Korea, alongside plans for a new hub at Hong Kong International Airport, UPS continues to strengthen international trade connectivity and support growing demand for reliable, time-critical logistics services.
