UPS Launches Secure Commerce to Protect Supply Chains Against Fraud and Disruption

UPS has launched UPS Secure Commerce, a new suite of supply chain solutions designed to help businesses protect themselves against fraud, shipment loss, revenue risks and operational disruptions.
The new offering combines UPS' logistics expertise, data and technology to give companies greater visibility across their supply chains and help them identify potential risks before they become costly problems.
Moving from Reactive to Proactive Risk Management
As global commerce becomes increasingly digital and complex, businesses face growing challenges ranging from e-commerce fraud and shipment losses to delivery issues and supply chain disruptions.
UPS Secure Commerce aims to shift supply chain management from a reactive approach toward proactive risk management, using data-driven intelligence, actionable insights and artificial intelligence to help businesses make faster and better-informed decisions.
According to UPS, its agentic AI capabilities will play an important role in analysing supply chain information and helping customers identify and respond to potential risks.
Three Solutions Under One Platform
UPS Secure Commerce brings together three established UPS solutions:
InsureShield Shipping Insurance – providing shipment protection and faster claims recovery.
Parcel Pro – focused on protection for high-value and specialty shipments.
CommerceShield – technology designed to identify and mitigate shipping and e-commerce risks.
Together, these solutions provide businesses with greater visibility and protection before, during and after delivery.
Protecting More Than the Shipment
UPS says the objective extends beyond protecting individual packages. Supply chain disruptions, fraud and delivery failures can directly impact revenue, customer relationships and brand reputation.
In 2025, UPS protected 1.4 million shippers and insured 62 million packages, while 97% of claims were resolved within five days.
By combining logistics expertise with AI, automation and risk intelligence, UPS Secure Commerce represents another step toward more technology-driven supply chain management.
As global supply chains become increasingly interconnected, solutions that provide greater visibility and earlier identification of risks could become an important competitive advantage for companies operating across international markets.
