Taiwan-based China Airlines (CAL) is bringing its global air freight capacity to cargo.one, the leading platform for digital air freight quoting and booking. Having launched its own e-booking portal, China Airlines has selected cargo.one as its platform partner to digitally connect with thousands of forwarders in every important air cargo market. For example, forwarders in the United States will enjoy transformed speed and convenience when securing China Airlines capacity on key trade routes from the West Coast into destinations across Asia.

With over 65 years of expertise, China Airlines leverages the belly capacity from a fleet of 67 passenger aircraft as well as 18 dedicated Boeing 747F and 777F freighters. Forwarders benefit from a substantial cargo network connecting Taiwan with 192 destinations in 29 countries. As a significant Asia Pacific carrier, during 2024 China Airlines processed some 60,000 AWBs per month. The carrier is well respected in air logistics for its high quality service and its ability to handle complex transportation requirements in all corners of the world.

In the first phase, forwarders in the United States and Canada, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and European markets will be able to use the industry’s go-to e-booking and quoting method to secure China Airlines capacity around the clock. Delivering its users the most comprehensive global market view, now including China Airlines, cargo.one allows forwarders to quote more quickly and win shipments more often. Users also benefit from cargo.one’s renowned expert support and innovative tools to improve their operational efficiencies.

Eddy Liu, Senior Vice President of China Airlines, commented: “China Airlines is taking measures to further digitalize sales processes and ensure that capacity is always within the easiest digital reach. With extensive experience and direct digital connections to many of our key global accounts, cargo.one is the logical partner to enable us to scale our sales reach worldwide, and deliver high quality online experiences reflective of our commitment to excellence.”
