Kuehne+Nagel has expanded its Cool Corridor network by introducing four new dedicated airfreight routes for temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments, increasing the network to 12 global lanes connecting major pharmaceutical and healthcare hubs across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
The newly added corridors link Frankfurt–Atlanta, Chicago–Narita, Brussels–São Paulo, and Chicago–São Paulo. The Frankfurt–Atlanta route will provide dedicated weekly capacity using Kuehne+Nagel’s Boeing 747-8 freighter, strengthening the company’s ability to transport vaccines, biologics, peptides, and other critical pharmaceutical products under strict temperature-controlled conditions.
The Cool Corridor concept combines GDP-compliant handling procedures, controlled transfers, and continuous monitoring to minimise Time Out of Range (ToR) throughout the shipment journey. By maintaining highly reliable temperature-controlled transport lanes, customers can increasingly use lighter passive packaging, helping reduce logistics costs and carbon emissions while ensuring product integrity.
With demand for pharmaceutical logistics continuing to grow worldwide, Kuehne+Nagel plans to further expand its Cool Corridor network in cooperation with airlines and ground handling partners, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of specialized healthcare logistics solutions.
