Lufthansa Cargo Announces Winter 2026/2027 Flight Schedule and Expands Global Connectivity

Lufthansa Cargo has unveiled its winter flight schedule for 2026/2027, introducing expanded cargo connections across Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe, while strengthening its operations in India.
Starting 25 October 2026, the airline will offer 88 freighter routes serving 40 destinations worldwide, providing freight forwarders and businesses with greater connectivity and additional transport options.
Key Highlights of the New Winter Schedule
Asia-Pacific Expansion: Up to 46 weekly freighter rotations serving 17 destinations, including a new connection through Singapore on the Frankfurt–Taipei route.
Mumbai Operations Relocated: Effective 12 October, Lufthansa Cargo is moving its freighter operations from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) to the new Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI).
Stronger Trans-Pacific Connectivity: The Frankfurt–Ho Chi Minh City–Shanghai–Los Angeles route continues with two weekly services.
Additional North American Capacity: Dallas increases to four weekly services, Houston to three, and New York JFK to five.
Expanded European Operations: Frankfurt connections to Larnaca, Istanbul and Stavanger become permanent additions to the regular freighter schedule.
New Global Connections: Kuala Lumpur will receive five weekly Lufthansa Airlines flights, while Bangalore joins the SWISS WorldCargo network via Zurich.
India Becomes a Strategic Focus
One of the most significant developments is the relocation of freighter operations to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
The move aims to support infrastructure development, improve cargo handling capacity and maintain reliable access to India's major industrial and manufacturing centers.
With India continuing to grow as an international manufacturing and trading hub, the expansion is expected to strengthen logistics connections between India, Europe and global markets.
What Does This Mean for Freight Forwarders?
The updated network creates additional opportunities for international logistics providers through improved route flexibility, expanded cargo capacity and stronger access to key trading regions.
With approximately 7,500 weekly flights connecting 350 destinations through six European hubs, Lufthansa Cargo continues to strengthen its position in global air freight transportation.
The winter schedule reflects the growing importance of Asia-Pacific trade, India's logistics infrastructure and reliable international air cargo connectivity.
