Lufthansa Cargo Introduces Emergency Add-on Service for Critical Shipments
Lufthansa Cargo has expanded its modular product portfolio with its Emergency Add-on Service, designed for shipments requiring the highest level of transport priority and reliability.
Since 16 September 2026, the previous Emergency product has been transformed into an add-on service, allowing customers to combine emergency handling with selected cargo products and speed options. The service is available for General Cargo, Dangerous Goods, Passive Temp Support and Vulnerables, in combination with td.Flash and td.Zoom.
The solution provides highest transport priority, guaranteed uplift, proactive shipment monitoring and dedicated 24/7 customer service. It can also be booked at short notice, subject to available capacity, directly through Lufthansa Cargo’s eBooking platform.
The service is particularly relevant for time-critical shipments, including urgently required spare parts, sensitive medical samples and other cargo where delays can have significant operational consequences.
By integrating Emergency into its modular portfolio, Lufthansa Cargo aims to give customers greater flexibility while maintaining maximum priority for their most urgent shipments.
