Lufthansa Cargo has successfully launched operations at the first and largest phase of its new LCCevo cargo hub at Frankfurt Airport, marking a major milestone in the company's €600 million modernization project. The new facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency, increase handling capacity, and strengthen Frankfurt's position as one of Europe's leading air cargo gateways.

The newly operational terminal introduces advanced automation, intelligent cargo handling systems, and optimized logistics processes that will enable faster shipment processing and improved service quality for customers worldwide. The investment supports Lufthansa Cargo's long-term strategy of building a more resilient, digital, and customer-focused logistics network.

Sustainability also plays a key role in the LCCevo project. The new infrastructure has been designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support the company's commitment to more sustainable air freight operations while meeting the growing demands of global supply chains.

As Lufthansa Cargo continues the phased development of the project through 2030, the Frankfurt hub will remain the company's central cargo gateway, providing enhanced connectivity and greater operational flexibility for partners and customers across its global network.
