Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced a major restructuring of its regional headquarters across Asia Pacific and Africa, aimed at bringing decision-making closer to key markets and supporting future growth.

The new structure will become effective on 1 April 2027 and forms part of the shipping company's broader ONE 2030 strategy.

New Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore

ONE will establish a new Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore, combining its existing East Asia and South Asia regional headquarters functions, currently based in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The new regional headquarters will oversee ONE's activities across 15 markets, with Louis Tang taking the position of Region Head, Asia Pacific.

By bringing East and South Asia under one regional structure, ONE aims to improve coordination, respond more quickly to changing market conditions and provide stronger support for customers moving cargo across the region.

Africa Management to Be Centralised in Dubai

ONE is also restructuring its management across Africa.

The company's East, West and South Africa markets will be brought under the management of its Dubai Regional Headquarters, creating a more integrated structure for trade flows connecting Africa with Asia, India and the Middle East.

Meanwhile, ONE's London Regional Headquarters will continue to oversee Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.

The company expects the new structure to enable faster decision-making, improve regional coordination and create additional opportunities for growth.

Supporting ONE's Long-Term Growth Strategy

According to ONE, Asia Pacific and Africa remain important growth regions for the company.

Existing services, customer contracts and day-to-day operations will continue during the transition, while local teams will remain the primary points of contact for customers.

The restructuring supports ONE's long-term ambition to strengthen its position in global container shipping while investing further in high-growth markets and improving customer service across its international network.
