Orlando International Airport is strengthening its air-cargo logistics network through closer cooperation with cargo industry partners. The initiative, announced in February 2026 by airport operator Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, aims to increase cargo capacity, improve operational efficiency, and enhance global connectivity at one of Florida’s fastest-growing aviation hubs.

Airport management emphasized that expanding cargo infrastructure is essential to supporting regional supply chains and attracting new freight operators. The program focuses on optimizing cargo-handling processes, expanding warehouse capabilities, and increasing air-freight options for exporters, freight forwarders, and logistics companies operating in Central Florida.

The initiative will also support key industries that depend on time-sensitive logistics, including healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, and e-commerce. By collaborating with cargo professionals and airline partners, Orlando International Airport aims to improve turnaround times, streamline customs processes, and provide more efficient cargo routing across global trade lanes.

Through these measures, Orlando International Airport is positioning itself as a regional logistics gateway capable of handling growing cargo volumes while maintaining reliable and efficient operations. The project represents another step in the airport’s long-term strategy to expand cargo infrastructure and support global supply-chain growth.
