Qatar Airways Cargo will launch its first scheduled freighter service from Helsinki, Finland, on 2 September 2026, further strengthening its presence in the Nordic region.
The weekly service will be operated by a Boeing 777 freighter on the Doha–Budapest–Helsinki–Doha route, providing approximately 100 tonnes of export cargo capacity from Helsinki each week. Combined with Qatar Airways’ seven weekly passenger flights between Doha and Helsinki, the new operation will increase the total weekly cargo capacity from Helsinki to more than 170 tonnes.
Helsinki represents an important gateway for high-value and specialised shipments, including technology products, electronics, industrial machinery, spare parts, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, perishables and e-commerce cargo. Through Qatar Airways Cargo’s hub in Doha, Finnish and Nordic businesses will gain improved connections to markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and Australia.
The carrier will also support regional distribution through scheduled and ad hoc road feeder services connecting Helsinki with Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.
