Qatar Airways Cargo Enhances Global Network with New Destinations, Route Resumptions and Capacity

Qatar Airways Cargo has expanded its global network and increased its overall capacity by 12 percent through new destinations, resumed routes, and additional flight frequencies.
The carrier has relaunched Boeing 777 freighter services to Vienna and added a second Boeing 777 freighter to Warsaw. The Vienna freighter will operate on the Doha – Budapest – Vienna – Doha route, while the additional Warsaw service will operate on the Doha – Budapest – Warsaw – Doha route, significantly increasing cargo capacity in Central and Eastern Europe.
At the same time, Qatar Airways announced the launch of new passenger destinations to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, starting on 22 July 2026. The airline will become the first Middle Eastern carrier to operate belly-hold cargo flights to these destinations.
Further network expansion includes the relaunch of flights to Helsinki on 15 July 2026 and Tokyo Haneda on 16 July 2026. Beginning in May 2026, the airline is also increasing frequencies across several key global markets, strengthening both passenger and cargo connectivity worldwide.
Among the most significant capacity increases are:
Hong Kong with more than 4,474 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity,
São Paulo with over 479 tonnes weekly,
Kuala Lumpur with more than 683 tonnes weekly,
Shanghai with over 985 tonnes weekly cargo capacity.
Qatar Airways Cargo also expanded operations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East by increasing passenger frequencies and adding freighter services to destinations including Addis Ababa, Dallas, Houston, New York, Dhaka, Istanbul, Amman, Beirut, and Dammam.
The airline stated that its strategically located hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha continues to play a vital role in connecting trade routes between Europe, Asia, and Africa.
