Riege Software has recently announced the release of Scope 25.8, introducing a range of enhancements aimed at improving operational efficiency and compliance for freight forwarders. The latest update strengthens both air and ocean freight management while adding financial functionality to streamline daily operations.
In air freight, Scope 25.8 now integrates with FedEx, allowing users to book shipments directly within the platform. The order tracking module has been improved to reflect actual operational flights rather than planned bookings, providing more accurate real-time information. Additionally, the system can now automatically generate tasks based on order tracking milestones, helping teams respond promptly to operational needs.
For ocean freight, Scope 25.8 supports ICS2 filing for export, facilitating compliance with customs regulations and simplifying documentation processes. The system also offers enhanced visibility of customs status, with incoming status updates available as Scope events and a dedicated events tab in the filing dialog. Notifications are automatically sent to shipment clerks and manifest filing creators if filings are rejected, ensuring timely follow-up.
The financial capabilities of Scope have also been expanded. The quotation module now includes tax calculation based on departure and arrival countries, allowing for accurate tax assessment on each quotation line. The total tax amount can be exported with the quotation spreadsheet, providing a clearer financial overview for clients.
Scope 25.8 reinforces Riege Software’s commitment to equipping freight forwarders with tools that enhance efficiency, maintain compliance, and improve overall operational visibility.
More details about the release are available in the Scope 25.8 Release Report.
