Three days, 35 countries, 78 participants and countless meaningful conversations. From 22–24 September 2026, the WOF Alliance AGM brought together freight forwarding professionals from around the world at the beautiful Zeus Dolce Attica Riviera, just outside Athens, Greece. Set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, with spectacular sunset views, this year's AGM was about much more than business. It was about people, genuine friendships, trust and the kind of connections that make the freight forwarding industry special.

A global network with a family spirit

With 77 participants representing 35 countries, the AGM welcomed freight forwarders from across the globe, most of them WOF Alliance members, alongside international guests who joined us to experience the network firsthand.

If one word summed up the event, it was family. Despite the many nationalities, languages and cultures represented, one thing quickly became clear: everyone felt part of the same community. This atmosphere is what sets WOF apart. Behind every shipment there is a relationship, and this AGM showed how strong those relationships are.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the organisation, the content, the setting and above all the people.

Meaningful discussions on the challenges shaping our industry

The professional program focused two most important verticals for the WOF Alliance.

Our discussions explored AOG and time-critical logistics in 2026, highlighting the MUST-HAVEs, the importance of responsiveness, and the role of compliance when every minute counts.

Another key topic was contingency planning in pharmaceutical and cannabis shipping. With supply chains facing increasing uncertainty and disruption, we explored how logistics professionals can prepare for unexpected challenges, develop alternative solutions, and maintain the reliability of sensitive shipments.

Sustainability was another important part of the programme, with CarbonCare introducing participants to the importance of measuring and understanding the carbon footprint of logistics operations. To make the topic even more engaging, CarbonCare organized a special interactive game that put participants' knowledge and skills to the test. The winner, Oceanair, walked away with a fantastic prize: a one-year CarbonCare license, offering a full year of access to its sustainability solution.

Together, these sessions provided an opportunity to exchange practical experiences, discuss real-world challenges and learn from colleagues operating in different markets. They also reinforced the importance of innovation, sustainability and reliable partnerships in building more resilient supply chains.

A taste of Greece and joyful evenings

Of course, no AGM in Greece would be complete without experiencing its culture and hospitality. One highlight was our visit to the historic streets of Plaka, Athens' charming old town. Walking through its picturesque streets, discovering traditional architecture and enjoying an authentic Greek dinner with live music offered a welcome change of pace after a day of business discussions.

The location of Zeus Dolce was equally memorable. Set beside the sea, the venue provided a spectacular backdrop for conversations before and after the official program. All our participants enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, good company, and the unmistakable Mediterranean atmosphere.
