DHL Supply Chain Expands Partnership with Pepco Across Europe

DHL Supply Chain and Pepco have expanded their long term partnership to strengthen Pepco’s distribution operations across Europe.
The extended collaboration focuses on improving product availability, accelerating delivery times and enhancing overall network performance to support Pepco’s rapidly growing store network.
Multi Site Network Supporting Growth
Under the expanded agreement DHL Supply Chain will manage five strategic distribution centers across Central and Eastern Europe including sites in Poland Hungary and Romania.
The Bucharest facility marks DHL Supply Chain’s entry into the Romanian contract logistics market and enables the company to deliver fully integrated end to end supply chain solutions. The site supports distribution to stores across Romania Bulgaria and Greece.
The multi site setup strengthens supply chain resilience and ensures consistent product availability while supporting Pepco’s continued store expansion across Europe.
Improving Efficiency and Scalability
The cooperation enhances warehouse performance through advanced management systems continuous productivity improvements and scalable capacity. Three of the five distribution centers are highly automated enabling higher throughput improved picking accuracy and more predictable processing times.
The integrated network also improves business continuity by maintaining service levels during disruptions and ensuring reliable delivery to stores.
Long Term Strategic Collaboration
The partnership between DHL Supply Chain and Pepco began in 2019 in Poland and has steadily expanded across Europe including Spain Hungary and Romania. The latest expansion reflects a shared commitment to standardizing operations and building a scalable distribution platform across multiple markets.
As part of the transition more than 1500 employees have joined DHL Supply Chain, supporting warehouse operations covering approximately 290000 square meters and serving over 4000 Pepco stores across Europe.
Strengthening European Supply Chains
With five distribution centers under management and a growing footprint in Central and Eastern Europe the partnership represents one of the largest retail contract logistics collaborations in the region.
By combining DHL Supply Chain’s logistics expertise with Pepco’s expanding retail network both companies are creating a stronger operational foundation to support future growth and ensure reliable service across Europe.
