MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has expanded its intermodal logistics network in Central Africa by integrating the Port of Kribi in Cameroon into its door-to-door cargo solutions. The move strengthens regional connectivity and improves cargo transportation between Cameroon and inland destinations such as Chad and the Central African Republic (CAR).

The new logistics solution combines ocean freight, port handling, customs services, inland road transport, and real-time shipment tracking into one coordinated service. Through this integration, cargo can now move more efficiently from the Port of Kribi to key inland markets including Yaoundé, Moundou, N’Djamena, and Bangui.

MSC currently offers up to four weekly vessel calls at Kribi, supported by direct shipping services connecting Cameroon with major Asian markets such as China, South Korea, Vietnam, and India. According to the company, the expanded intermodal network will provide businesses with faster transit times, improved cargo visibility, and more cost-effective transportation options across the region.

The Port of Kribi plays a strategic role in Central African trade as Cameroon’s only deep-water port and the largest port facility in the region. As trade volumes continue to grow, MSC believes the integration of Kribi into its logistics network will help improve cargo flows while reducing pressure on existing transport corridors and regional supply chains.

The expansion is part of MSC’s wider Intermodal Campaign series, which highlights the company’s efforts to strengthen cargo connectivity and inland logistics solutions across Africa.
