MSC has introduced the Afungi Shuttle, a new maritime service connecting Afungi in northern Mozambique with dedicated feeder services from Nacala and Maputo, creating a new gateway for project cargo and industrial shipments. The service has been developed to support the growing logistics demands of the LNG project in the region.

The Afungi Shuttle is designed to transport construction materials, machinery, industrial equipment, spare parts, and other project cargo. Customers benefit from a single MSC booking, one commercial point of contact, and dedicated feeder rotations on the Nacala–Afungi–Nacala and Maputo–Afungi–Maputo routes, simplifying cargo planning and improving shipment coordination.

By connecting Afungi with MSC's global shipping network covering Europe, the Mediterranean, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Southern Africa, the new service strengthens northern Mozambique's connectivity and supports the country's expanding energy and infrastructure sector.
