Qatar Airways Cargo has announced a further step in the restoration of its global network, publishing an updated schedule that reflects a gradual increase in both belly-hold and dedicated freighter operations to and from Doha. The move highlights the carrier’s steady recovery and commitment to rebuilding capacity across key global trade lanes.
With the latest update, effective from 16 June 2026, the airline’s passenger (belly-hold) network has expanded to more than 150 destinations worldwide. At the same time, its freighter network now serves over 50 cargo destinations, demonstrating a significant recovery in operational capacity.
As part of the phased network rebuild, Qatar Airways Cargo is gradually lifting embargoes on shipments. However, certain cargo categories remain restricted. These include QRLIV shipments with specific handling codes (AVF, AVM, DOC), LHO shipments such as live human organs and blood, and VIC shipments classified as urgent critical cargo.

The airline has introduced conditional flexibility for some live animal shipments (QRLIV). Customers may book shipments under selected handling codes provided that transit time in Doha does not exceed 24 hours. For longer transit times, prior approval from the Cargo Special Loads team is required, ensuring proper handling and compliance with operational constraints.
Despite these limitations, all other Qatar Airways Cargo products remain available for booking through standard sales channels, including the Digital Lounge and local cargo sales teams. Capacity continues to be offered to customers as the airline rebuilds its network in a controlled and phased manner.
The continued expansion of both passenger and freighter services underlines Qatar Airways Cargo’s strategy to restore global connectivity while maintaining operational reliability and safety. As capacity increases, the carrier is positioning itself to meet growing demand across international supply chains and reinforce its role as a major global air freight operator.
